Theatre Classes, Camp & Workshops

Join us for this exciting summer program! Each one week session includes instruction in voice, dance, basic acting technique and working as an ensemble. No previous theater experience required, beginners (and boys) are encouraged to join. Each week-long session culminates in a studio performance. Directed by Barbara Kessell. Camps run Monday through Friday, 1:00-4:00 pm daily. $260 per session.

Broadway Through the Decades

(ages 5–8)

We'll sing, dance and act to some of your favorite Disney musicals from the past and present. A week of magical Disney-inspired fun for our youngest performers!

A Journey Through Times Square

(ages 8–12)

Join us as we explore some of Broadway's longest running musicals, including songs/scenes from Mamma Mia!, A Chorus Line, Chicago, and more!

Stapleton in collaboration with Star Kids Productions is excited to offer two Musical Theatre Workshops for young performers this summer! Rehearsals will be at Stapleton School 70 Greenfield Ave., and performances held at Drake High School's Little Theatre.

You've got a Golden Ticket! Willa Wonka Jr., based on Roald Dahl's delightful classic, will be directed by Ashley Kimball. 8-12 year olds are invited to join us for this fantastical, delicious tale of Charlie Bucket's adventure through Willy Wonka's mysterious and amazing chocolate factory. With beloved songs from the 1971 movie version, this show has something to delight everyone! Space is limited—enroll today!

Stapleton and Star Kid Productions present the cult classic, Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Ashley Kimball with music direction by Judy Wiesen. This horror/rock musical from Alan Menken and Howard Ashman is based on the 1960 black comedy film, and follows a hapless florist who raises a plant with…an interesting appetite. Featuring beloved songs such as "Somewhere That's Green" and "Suddenly Seymour," performers 13-20 years old are sure to enjoy partaking in this memorable and hilarious show! Remember: don't feed the plant!
